The Kuta area is the undisputed champion of Bali tourism (Indonesia).
It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia. It is located near Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport. Kuta was originally discovered by tourists as a surfing paradise.
The city of Kuta today has a space to suit every type of traveler.
Points of interest in the City of Kuta:
– Kuta Beach:
Kuta Beach is a beach located in Kuta and is also known as Sunset Beach.
The Kuta Beach was predominately a fishing village, but it has grown into a leading budget travel destination in Asia that has been especially successful with young Australians. Luxury resorts, restaurants, surf shops and clubs are located along the beach. The real attraction of the city is the beach bars that are filled in the season of summer and winter. Their favorite places are Kama Sutra, Musro Bali and Apache Bar.

– Bali Bomb Memorial:
This is a memorial to the 202 people murdered by the bombs on 12th October 2002, and is on Jl Legian opposite the corner of Poppies II. This is the former site of the old Paddy’s Bar, and opposite the former site of the Sari Club, which is still an empty space, next to the Billabong shop. The memorial is made of intricately carved stone, set with a large marble plaque, which bears the names and nationalities of each of those killed.
It is flanked by the national flags of the victims. The monument is well-maintained and illuminated at night.
